The St. Mary's Knights will challenge the Arcadia Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.
Last Thursday, St. Mary's didn't have quite enough to beat Marcos de Niza and fell 6-5.
St. Mary's got a good showing from Meredith Schager, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Analysa Mejia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Kimber Milstead was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Arcadia started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Centennial. They lost 18-7 to the Coyotes on Friday.
Sydney Kelley led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Baumgardner, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Even though they lost, Arcadia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. This was only their first loss (out of eight games) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Mary's hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Arcadia struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
