Volleyball Recap: Olympia Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kinley Steinkamp and Aubrey Rycyzyn

Olympia lost against El Paso-Gridley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Olympia had strong showings from Aubrey Rycyzyn, who had 20 digs and one assist, and Kinley Steinkamp, who had 20 assists and six digs. Rycyzyn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Olympia now has a losing record of 5-6. As for El Paso-Gridley, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Coincidentally, Olympia and El Paso-Gridley will both be playing Maroa-Forsyth the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Trojans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
