Football Game Preview: Saint Mary's Panthers vs. De Anza Dons

The Saint Mary's Panthers will face off against the De Anza Dons at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saint Mary's is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Monday, Saint Mary's didn't have too much trouble with Berkeley as they won 26-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 342nd).

Meanwhile, De Anza ended up a good deal behind Hercules on Wednesday and lost 20-6. The Dons were down 20-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

De Anza's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Saint Mary's, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Everything came up roses for Saint Mary's against De Anza when the teams last played back in August, as the team secured a 35-7 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
