Volleyball Game Preview: Childress Bobcats vs. Idalou Wildcats

The Childress Bobcats will head out to challenge the Idalou Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Childress was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Talkington School for Young Women Leaders 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since November 5, 2024.

Childress took Talkington School for Young Women Leaders into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Idalou waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against Littlefield as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Idalou was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-13.

Idalou's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Childress, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

Childress skirted past Idalou 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
