Softball Recap: Pleasant Home Comes Up Short

Pleasant Home had lost six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-9 to make it seven. They lost 12-2 to the Straughn Tigers. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Straughn, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-15 record this season. The result was nothing new for Straughn, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Straughn's part, the team relied heavily on Brinlee Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Emma Cruz, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Pleasant Home does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Straughn, they will welcome Pike County at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
