Recap: Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles
The Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past the Eagles 44-23. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-7.
Despite the defeat, the Eagles saw an underclassman step up: Will Jones dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Jones has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played.
The victory (which was the Crusaders' fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for the Eagles, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Bethel Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Haywood Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
