Baseball Recap: Vestaburg Triumphs

While Vestaburg put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for St. Charles. The Wolverines came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 on Wednesday.

Vestaburg's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colton Halgren, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Halgren has posted since back in May of 2024. Another was Jayden Hilding, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

The win got Vestaburg back to even at 2-2. As for St. Charles, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vestaburg will square off against Coleman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Charles, they will take on Michigan Lutheran Seminary at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
