Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Kenny Crusaders vs. Joshua Christian Academy Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Bishop Kenny Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Joshua Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Kenny is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season.

Bishop Kenny is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Ridgeview just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Crusaders came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Panthers are ranked 106th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Abby Baker, who posted nine points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kathleen Crawley, who earned 12 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Joshua Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in November of 2024. They enjoyed a cozy 26-9 win over Global Outreach Charter Academy back in December of 2024. That 17 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

The victory got Joshua Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Bishop Kenny, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.
