Basketball Recap: Santa Clara Comes Up Short

Santa Clara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 70-35 loss at the hands of the Lynbrook Vikings. The Bruins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.

Despite the defeat, Santa Clara saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ibrahim Abdelrahman posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Sun, who earned five points.

Santa Clara's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Lynbrook, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.
