League recap: Siuslaw rises in rankings with win

Siuslaw made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,059 from 4,761. The improvement was the result of 39-6 victory over Ridgeview last week.

The Vikings led 4A Far West in scoring this week after putting up 39 points on the Ravens.

Douglas' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Shaffer has thrown for 1806 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Riley Lavin has 37 catches for 467 yards. Nate Vosika leads the league in rushing with 747 yards.

Entering into this week's contest against Cascade, Shaffer is short just 194 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
