Basketball Recap: Pemberton Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Pemberton Hornets were beaten by Thrive Charter 58-7.

Thrive Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adris Oppong-Kyekyekwe led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Heziah Kinston, who went 8 of 20 on her way to 18 points.

Pemberton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thrive Charter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Pemberton has already played their next match, a 31-28 defeat against Moorestown Friends on the 20th. As for Thrive Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-34 loss against Archbishop Carroll on the 21st.
