Basketball Recap: Mid-Missouri Homeschool Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Omaha R

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln HomeSchool, Mid-Missouri HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They secured a 57-51 W over the Omaha R Roadrunners. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mavericks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 209th in Missouri, while the Roadrunners are ranked 74th in Nebraska).

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool had a senior duo take command as Kyle Aulgur dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds and Kaden Hayes went 8-for-10 en route to 20 points and three steals. The game was Aulgur's ninth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Austin Sartin, who posted nine points.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 22-12. As for Omaha R, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.

Coming up, Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will challenge Kansas City East Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Omaha R does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
