Basketball Game Preview: University Trailblazers vs. Lewis Cass Kings

The University Trailblazers and the Lewis Cass Kings will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. University is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.

University saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Heritage Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trailblazers.

University's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mackenzie Feeney led the charge by going 6 of 8 en route to 13 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Feeney a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Culp, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lewis Cass hadn't done well against Carroll recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lewis Cass blew past Carroll 50-27. The Kings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Lewis Cass has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for University, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
