Volleyball Recap: Pierce Takes a Loss

Pierce lost against Lakeview back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bluejays took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

While Pierce ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20.

Nora Herian paced Pierce's offense, picking up seven kills. Herian got some help from Adrienne Riggert and her 15 assists. Abbie Cone controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pierce's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Lakeview, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Pierce wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Boone Central on the 7th. As for Lakeview, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against St. Paul on the 7th.
