Basketball Game Preview: Campbellsville Eagles vs. Evangel Christian Eagles

Campbellsville is on a four-game streak of home losses, Evangel Christian a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Campbellsville Eagles will get right back to it and host the Evangel Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Monday, Campbellsville lost to Taylor County on the road by a 72-55 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Evangel Christian challenged Larue County on Saturday. Evangel Christian took a hard 71-56 fall against Larue County.

Evangel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Campbellsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.

Campbellsville barely slipped by Evangel Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, winning 61-60. Will Campbellsville repeat their success, or does Evangel Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
