After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Torrey Pines, San Marcos was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Rancho Bernardo Broncos 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won eight in a row.

San Marcos wouldn't go down easily and took Rancho Bernardo into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 25-14, 20-25, 15-9.

San Marcos' victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Rancho Bernardo, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. San Marcos is set to square off against their familiar foe San Dieguito Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rancho Bernardo will face off against rival Carlsbad at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
