Soccer Game Preview: Waubonsie Valley vs. Naperville Central

The Waubonsie Valley Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Naperville Central Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waubonsie Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Waubonsie Valley turned things around against York on Friday. They and the Dukes finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Naperville Central entered their tilt with Normal Community on Saturday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came out on top against the Ironmen by a score of 4-2. That's two games straight that Naperville Central have won by exactly two goals.

With that draw, Waubonsie Valley's record moves to 2-8-5. As for Naperville Central, they pushed their record up to 17-1-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Waubonsie Valley skirted past Naperville Central 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
