Basketball Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 84-25 loss at the hands of the David Crockett Pioneers. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-10.

Brylee Tullock was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 11 boards for David Crockett. Tullock's big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Doner, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 18 points and five steals.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-24. As for David Crockett, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 31-3.

Cherokee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for David Crockett, they will welcome Grainger at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
