Softball Game Preview: Aubrey Chaparrals vs. Bonham Warriors

For the second straight game, Aubrey will face off against Bonham. The Chaparrals will take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Aubrey knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Bonham likes a good challenge.

Aubrey is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Bonham a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Chaparrals have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Bonham's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alayna Laisy, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Aubrey has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Bonham, they now have a losing record of 11-12-1.
