Basketball Game Preview: Richton Rebels vs. Heidelberg Oilers

Richton is 0-8 against Heidelberg since December of 2014 but things could change on Friday. The Richton Rebels will welcome the Heidelberg Oilers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Richton took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past North Forrest 52-30.

Meanwhile, Heidelberg waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They really took it to the Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-24 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Oilers just coasted through the last quarter.

Heidelberg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Richton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10.

Richton couldn't quite finish off Heidelberg in their previous matchup back in January and fell 72-69. Can Richton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
