There's no place like home for Dos Pueblos, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They rang in the new year with a 74-61 win over the Santa Clara Saints on Thursday. The Chargers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Santa Clara saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jj Ward went 12 of 28 en route to 29 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Gio Gude, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.

Dos Pueblos has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Santa Clara, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Dos Pueblos didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 88-44 defeat against Santa Barbara on the 6th. As for Santa Clara, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-44 victory against Grace on the 3rd.
