Baseball Recap: North Creek Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when North Creek duked it out with Bothell on Friday. The Jaguars won by a run and slipped past the Cougars 3-2. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 6-3 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Kody Moyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because North Creek is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 2-5 otherwise.

At the plate, North Creek's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zach Daniel, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Aidan Kim also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

North Creek now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bothell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

North Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
