Soccer Recap: Denton Starts off Right with Win over Granbury

Denton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Granbury Pirates 6-1 on Thursday. With the Broncos ahead 3-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

They hit Granbury with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Joel Rodriguez (3), Florencio Ortiz, Chris Guillen, and Sergio Melchor.

Denton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-5 draw against Saginaw on the 2nd. Granbury has also already played their next game, a 2-2 draw against North Side on the 3rd.
