Volleyball Recap: Gideon Extends Winning Streak to Four

Gideon entered their tilt with Holcomb on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hornets. The Bulldogs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Hornets, so the Bulldogs were just returning the favor.

While Gideon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Jalynn Ford, who had 15 digs and three assists. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

Gideon's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Holcomb, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Gideon will take on Doniphan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Holcomb, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kennett at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
