Game recap: West Stokes High School Football Team takes down North Stokes

KING, N.C. - A big 22-point second quarter helped carry the Wildcats to a 30-0 victory over North Stokes (Danbury, N.C.) on Saturday.

West Stokes scored on a touchdown run by Rashad Witherspoon, an Alex Manley touchdown run and a touchdown pass by Manley to Ricky Kirchenbauer in the quarter.

The lead that WS took on a touchdown run by Witherspoon with 7:00 remaining in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 45-6 win for the King school.



With the win the Wildcats extended their winning streak to three games.

West Stokes (4-1) will play a non-conference game against Mount Airy next week, while North Stokes (0-5) will take on Surry Central also in a non-conference game.
