Basketball Recap: Twin Loup Comes Up Short

Twin Loup suffered their biggest defeat since December 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 59-29 loss at the hands of the Riverside Chargers. The Wolves have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meetings.

Yahya Harris and Grant Ottun certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Harris posted 11 points and three steals, while Ottun put up four points. Harris is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Riverside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dane Schalk led the charge by shooting 50% from the field en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Larry Diessner, who had nine points along with seven boards and six steals.

Twin Loup's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Twin Loup does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverside, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 74-57 defeat against Central Valley on the 27th.
