Basketball Recap: Caleb Ward's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Norco over Rialto

Norco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 68-59 to the Rialto Knights.

Norco's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Ward, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Ibbetson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 boards.

Norco's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Rialto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Norco Cougars face off against the Bonita Bearcats at 8:30 p.m. on December 26th. Norco is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Rialto, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Serrano at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
