Volleyball Game Preview: Morningside Monarchs vs. Culver City Centaurs

The Morningside Monarchs are taking a road trip to face off against the Culver City Centaurs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Morningside will be strutting in after a win while Culver City will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Morningside got the win against Inglewood by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Monarchs.

The final score came out to 25-23, 27-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Culver City's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They came up short against Santa Monica, falling 3-0.

While Culver City was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-21.

Morningside will have to keep a close watch on Sterling Gregory and Ken Hasegawa, a pair of players who had a big impact on Culver City's prior game. Gregory had 13 digs and two aces, while Hasegawa had nine digs and five kills.

Culver City now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Morningside, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
