Baseball Recap: Fort White Takes a Loss

Fort White lost against Trenton back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-1. The matchup marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fort White saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Ortiz, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Fort White's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Trenton, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort White will square off against Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Trenton, they will be playing at home against Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
