Baseball Recap: Waskom Comes Up Short

If Waskom was feeling good fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Ore City last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Carlisle Indians on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in March of 2016.

Waskom has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Carlisle, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-14.

While Waskom had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
