Basketball Recap: West Point-Beemer Comes Up Short

West Point-Beemer suffered their biggest defeat since February 3, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against the Oakland-Craig Knights, falling 62-23. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Cadets' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Several Cadets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allie Kaup, who posted five points and three steals. Emerson Meiergerd also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

West Point-Beemer has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-7 record this season. As for Oakland-Craig, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

West Point-Beemer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakland-Craig, they will face off against Brownell Talbot at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
