Eastern Wayne hadn't done well against Goldsboro recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eastern Wayne Warriors walked away with a 77-68 victory over the Goldsboro Cougars. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on five straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastern Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Levi Evans, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Evans a new career-high in blocks (four). Michael Bailey was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight assists.

Eastern Wayne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Eastern Wayne pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Goldsboro, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Beddingfield the next time they take the court. Eastern Wayne will host Beddingfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Goldsboro will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
