Baseball Recap: Grace Academy Victorious

Grace Academy proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the GVCS Broadfording Lions 3-2. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 7-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jaeden Peterson was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Peterson was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Peterson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Connor Earley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was AJ Presley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Grace Academy's record is now 2-0. As for GVCS Broadfording, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Grace Academy will host McConnellsburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for GVCS Broadfording, they will venture away from home to challenge Mercersburg Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
