Recap: Lexington Catholic Knights vs. Great Crossing

It was a good run, but the Lexington Catholic Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 58-50 to Great Crossing. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lexington Catholic has scored all season.

Malachi Moreno was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 19 rebounds for Great Crossing. Another player making a difference was Vince Dawson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.

Lexington Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Great Crossing, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Lexington Catholic will be playing at home against Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Lexington Catholic is ranked third). As for Great Crossing, they will face off against Corbin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
