Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Guilford Falcons vs. Page Pirates

The Southeast Guilford Falcons will challenge the Page Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Southeast Guilford took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They secured a 61-55 W over Western Guilford.

Southeast Guilford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Geter led the charge by going 5-for-7 on his way to 15 points. The dominant performance also gave Geter a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Byron Arant, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Southeast Guilford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Page was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and Northern Guilford didn't end well, with Page falling 75-60.

Page's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Southeast Guilford, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.
