Basketball Recap: Leyden Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Leyden challenged Wheaton North on Wednesday. The Eagles received a blow as they fell 67-53 to the Falcons. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 64-35 to the Falcons when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leyden's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wheaton North, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leyden is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Streamwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheaton North, they will head out to take on St. Patrick at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
