Volleyball Recap: Stillwater Beats Southmoore for Their Eighth Straight Win

Stillwater entered their tilt with Southmoore on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the SaberCats 3-0. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the SaberCats, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 25-14.

Leading Stillwater to victory were Taylor Rattay and Kael Valdois. Rattay had 24 digs and three aces, while Valdois had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Valdois has posted over her last seven matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Stillwater was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive contests.

Stillwater's record now sits at 19-11. As for Southmoore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-23 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stillwater will face off against rival Mustang at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southmoore is set to challenge their familiar foe Edmond Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
