Football Recap: McLaughlin Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for McLaughlin's offense. They were outmatched by the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons and fell 75-0. The Phoenix just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

McLaughlin's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Charlotte, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

McLaughlin will be playing at home against Inlet Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Phoenix's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Charlotte, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
