Basketball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls and fell 84-52. The Lions were probably out for revenge after losing 68-43 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Point Pleasant Beach, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-38 win against Toms River East on the 23rd. Point Pleasant Beach has also already played their next game (against New Egypt), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
