Basketball Recap: Marksville Takes a Loss

Marksville and Jena squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Marksville had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 61-42 to the Jena Giants. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 43-42 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Marksville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Jena, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Marksville nor Jena have any future games scheduled.
