King is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Middleton with a sharp 18-8 victory on Thursday. The Lions not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

Nicholas Brown was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Alex Hernandez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
King always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Strawberry Crest entered their tilt with Riverview on Saturday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sharks a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Chase Conti made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Matt Hall was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Toby Highsmith, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Strawberry Crest's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for King, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
King suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to Strawberry Crest in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can King avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
