Basketball Recap: Lincoln County Takes a Loss

Lincoln County lost against Sissonville back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lincoln County Panthers were dealt an 83-53 loss at the hands of the Sissonville Indians. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln County lost, don't look at Eli Smith. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zechariah Miller, who posted ten points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Lincoln County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sissonville only pulled down ten offensive rebounds.

Max Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sissonville, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 41 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in boards. Jaunti Evans was another key player, going 8 of 9 en route to 19 points.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Sissonville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Lincoln County has already played their next game (against Winfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sissonville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 83-58 defeat against Wayne on the 24th.
