Football Recap: Stranahan Takes a Loss

Stranahan extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were beaten by the South Plantation Paladins 62-14. The Mighty Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-8.

As for South Plantation, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Kamary Cooper was his usual excellent self, rushing for 208 yards and four scores on only ten carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards. Cooper is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 151 every time he's taken the field this season. Dylan Zaldumbide did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 101 receiving yards.

Stranahan has already played their next matchup, a 59-6 defeat against Central on the 10th. As for South Plantation, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-38 victory against South Broward on the 10th.
