Soccer Game Preview: University Prep Value vs. Smidt Tech

The University Prep Value Wolves will take on the Smidt Tech Grey Wolves in a tournament on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, University Prep Value didn't have quite enough to beat Torres and fell 2-1. Chrisitan Bonilla was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

University Prep Value's goal came courtesy of Joshua Lopez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Smidt Tech might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Stern an easy 5-1 victory.

Smidt Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for University Prep Value, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-1 record this season.

University Prep Value came up short against Smidt Tech in their previous meeting back in May of 2021, falling 2-0. Can Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
