Basketball Game Preview: Carnegie Wildcats vs. Hinton Comets

The Carnegie Wildcats will challenge the Hinton Comets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Carnegie came up short against Cordell on Tuesday, falling 62-37.

Wenzday Burcum was Carnegie's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Paxton Davis took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Meanwhile, Hinton had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Binger-Oney 57-23. That looming 57-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Comets yet this season.

Carnegie's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Hinton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Carnegie came up short against Hinton when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 62-54. Can Carnegie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
