Softball Recap: Clinton Wins Going Away Against Wilmot

It was a proper cat-fight when Clinton challenged Wilmot on Saturday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Maycee Morris was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Macy Hinz, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Clinton's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9. As for Wilmot, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Looking ahead, Clinton will challenge Evansville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilmot, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Waterford on the 12th.
