Soccer Recap: Randle Takes a Loss

Randle came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Alief Elsik Rams. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Rams are ranked eighth).

The defeat snapped Randle's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-5-2 record. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Alief Elsik, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home.

Looking ahead, Randle will take on Sharpstown at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Sharpstown will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Randle surely won't give up without a fight. Alief Elsik does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
