Basketball Recap: Denison-Schleswig Takes a Loss

Denison-Schleswig lost against Carroll back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs took a blow against the Carroll Tigers, falling 71-32. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Tigers are ranked 123rd).

Denison-Schleswig's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Carroll, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.

Denison-Schleswig didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-40 defeat against Jefferson on the 10th. As for Carroll, they will venture away from home to take on North Polk at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
