            Volleyball Recap: Cypress Lake Panthers vs. Mariner Tritons        
        
		
        
        
            Cypress Lake's game  on Monday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mariner Tritons, sneaking past  3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-2  back in August.
 Cypress Lake wouldn't go down easily and took Mariner into a fifth set  where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 20-25, 22-25, 25-13,  15-13.
 Avery Gulatta paced Cypress Lake's offense, picking up 17 kills. Gulatta got some help from  Lilly Witz and her 31 assists. Finally,  Brigitte Maillakakis kept Cypress Lake's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
 Despite the loss, Mariner still got an impressive performance from   Rylie Moore, who  had 17  aces and six  digs. Moore is  on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served eight or more in each of the last three games she's  played.  Janaira Rodriguez was another key player,  getting ten  kills, five  digs,  and two  blocks.

Cypress Lake's victory  ended  a  four-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-10. As for Mariner, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record  this season.
 Cypress Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mariner, they will welcome Bonita Springs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
