Meanwhile, Somerset entered their tilt with Pleasanton on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Eagles.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Somerset who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 23-25, 25-20, 20-25, 17-15.
Devine has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 17-21 record this season. As for Somerset, their victory bumped their record up to 14-21.
